It was such a pleasure to spend time with Jeff Weeks, host of a PBS television program. We spent time discussing my book and how important the book’s themes of empathy, compassion, and understanding are in today’s world.
We also discussed my book’s illustrator, Katya Royz, and her grandfather, Efim, Royz, who is a Holocuast survivor. I was so touched when Katya told me about her grandfather’s story that I included him in the Afterword of my book.
