It was a pleasure to spend time with David Edward on his podcast called Focusing on Writing. David hosts writers on his YouTube channel, Frequency99. He is also a best-selling author who has published books in several genres, and he has a Ph.D. in Economics. On top of that, David served as a Special Agent in the U.S. Army and is a veteran of multiple overseas combat tours. He has such a fascinating background that I wanted to interview him!
Given David’s background, when it came time to talk about my children’s Holocaust book, The Crystal Beads, Lalka’s Journey, I found myself speaking to a Veteran who understands the horrors and trauma of war and its impact on everyone’s lives.
We spoke about the need for more compassion and understanding in the world. I talked about how I hoped my book’s messages of empathy and caring for each other despite our differences would resonate with young readers, especially since we live in such troubled times.
